Joe Fuentes is a proud first generation college graduate.  He was born in Chicago and raised in Klein, Texas.  He grew up in a lower income household. Relying on government assistance throughout his childhood, he knew this was not the life he wanted as an adult.  Joe was anything but a straight A student. He even had teachers tell him he could not succeed in college. Furthermore, no one in his family had ever gone to college, so he had no one to turn to for advice or questions pertaining to college & career readiness. Joe graduated from High School, but did not have the grades or test scores needed to get into a university.  As a result, he started at a community college, transferred to a university & went on to obtain his Masters Degree, and eventually his education to lead school districts and institutions of higher education. He always thought he would be an attorney, but God had a different plan for him.  While in college he developed a passion for education and noticed there were many other students like him struggling to find support. Knowing he had more to give he decided to get into education, and help students and parents be college & career ready. His life long goal is to show all kids, parents, and educational leaders the opportunities they have, and guide them through the strenuous process of being college and career ready.  Joe  did not have this when he was in high school or college and now wants to make sure every community is aware of these incredible opportunities.  Helping  communities  know and reach their full potential is his calling and true passion. 

He has 15 years of experience serving schools districts, institutions of higher education, communities, and extremely honored by the requests to serve his hometown of Houston where he created the city's first ever College Career & Military Program to provide these much needed services and programs to city schools. Joe has even answered the call of his country and honorably supports and assists the United States Military with his unique expertise and services. When Joe is not serving his city or nation you can find him enjoying time with his family, reading, working out, cooking, serving various good causes, and philanthropy work.
